What is a Waived Deductible?
A deductible is the amount of covered expenses, per event, that you are responsible for paying before any remaining covered expenses are paid under your policy.
Effective Oct. 1, 2015, our waived deductible benefit has increased under the Premier Plan
Before, the first $250 was waived when the insured was hospitalized for 48 consecutive hours.
Now, the first $1,000 of the deductible is waived when hospitalized for consecutive 72 hours.
This benefit will help any visitor to Canada (super visa and visitor visa holders, newcomers to Canada, travellers) alleviate the financial burden in the event of a sudden or unforeseen accident or illness.
Please review the policy wording for complete details on benefits, definitions, eligibility, exclusions, terms and conditions.
